Progress Update

Ok, so i've already started stripping the car down to refurbish or upgrade any areas that need it. So the car is currently sat on some axle stands as the front suspension is now broken down ready to be blasted and painted.
All the bushes were in great condition so i'm going to leave them for now and just buy rose jointed arms further down the line! :)
After seeing the state of the anti roll bar links, I may be buying a new set of those as well as track rod ends.

I've also managed to strip out the crappy old ABS pump as well as all the stock hard lines, brackets and anything associated (minus the wiring... that will go later) and got rid of the stock air box.

I've taken the rear bumper, interior panels, rear light garnish (metal plate under the tail lights) and carpet out of the back to allow me to work on a few areas, find hidden rust - which there isn't much off... just needs a bloody good clean and a fresh top coat of pain.

I'll be uprating the fuel pump as well so i'll lift that out soon while the back is stripped.

That's it for now, so just a few pics to see what it's looking like, then back to working on it on friday...
Gotta love Asbestos! :/

The pile of left overs after yesterdays stripping!

Engine bay starting to look a bit cleaner with the ABS and air box gone.

Funky hidden Jap embossing!

New Beginnings

So, it's all started. Again. Finally!

This blog will be showcasing the build of my 1993 Nissan 200sx (S13 Chassis).
I got the car many years ago and used it as a daily drive toy and started with a few choice modifications - mainly when other those parts broke and i needed to replace them!

Then university struck. The car has now been sitting for 2 years collecting rust, mould, spiders and all sorts of other lovely treats. Hence the nickname it's gained of "Garden Ornament".

The plan is so firstly strip and repair the car, refurbishing and replacing any parts as required along the way, and if the budget holds out, i'll be prepping if for racing in the GT250 Nippon Challenge.

So as with all new beginnings, here's to being optimistic!

Way back when I first got "Niki"
